This poncho come from the very fashion conscious Zinacantan. Textiles are important here and the color motifs and even techniques appear to change dramatically every few years!
This poncho has been handwoven of many colors and metallic thread and then embroidered with the same in fabulous fanciful and sensual floral patterns.
The fringe at the bottom is fine and hand twisted.

These look lovely as wall hangings and can be simply hung with a dowel.

It measures 26 X 28" not including the tassels.

This one is in excellent vintage condition
